Tricolor Dosa is one of the best ways to include vegetables, rice, and lentils in your diet and make a wholesome meal for your child. Dosa is one of the best Indian breakfast items, beneficial for people of all ages. The vitamin A of carrots and iron, the calcium of spinach make it an ideal nutritional food.

    Ingredients to make Tricolor Dosa:

    3/4 cup rice, ½ cup urad dal, 2 carrots, some spinach leaves, butter, oil, salt

    Steps to make Tricolor Dosa:

    1. Wash and soak rice and urad dal separately for 2 -3 hours.

    2. Grind them sepeartely in a mixer. Add water as needed and grind until smooth.

    3. Transfer both batters in a large bowl, add salt and mix well. Leave it overnight for fermentation.

    4. Divide the batter in 3 bowls.

    5. Take the carrots, peel and par boiled them and add in a blender to make it to a puree. Once the puree is ready, add it to one of the dosa batter bowl to make saffron dosa batter.

    6. In a pan, cook chopped spinach leaves till they tender. Add the tendered leaves in a jar and grind them to make it a puree. Add this puree to another dosa batter bowl to make it green.

    7. Keep the third dosa batter dowl as it as (white colour).

    8. Now take a Dosa Pan, add orange batter first at the very centre(small portion), immediately add white to the outer part followed by green batter.

    Yummy Tricolor Dosa is ready!
