Super Yummy Swiss Roll!

Swiss roll is a type of a sponge cake roll. It is rich in carboydrates, sodium and calcium. Something sweet is loved by everyone after dinner and these rolls are the best option for that.

Ingredients: 4 eggs, 3/4 cup all purpose flour / maida, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 3/4 tsp vanilla essence, 3/4 tsp baking powder, Baking tin, 30cmx30cm (12 inchx12 inch), lined with butter paper, 1 cup jam-slightly warmed, 1 cup icing (confectioners sugar), 1 butter paper

Steps:

1) Using a beater, beat the eggs, sugar, baking powder and vanilla till the mixture turned thick and foamy.Fold in the flour with light movements and pour the mixture into the tin which is already lined with the butter paper.

2) Bake in a preheated oven (at 400 F -204 C) for 7-10 minutes, till a sharp knife that put in the roll comes out clean. Sprinkle icing sugar over a butter paper and keep it ready till the cake is baking. Remove the cake from the oven and turn it over on to the towel, top side down.

3) Trim off the edges immediately, flatten it slightly and roll cake into a scroll, along with the paper, and leave it to cool. When cool, unroll the cake and remove the butter paper, and spread the jam over it.

4) Re-roll it , leaving the cloth behind, and arrange on to a serving dish, with the edge on the bottom and sprinkle some more icing sugar on top.

Now this Swiss Roll is ready to consume. You can also use chocolate instead of jam and then it will be CHOCO SWISS ROLL. Enjoy!
