Green Peas are a really healthy option as a snack. For a toddler, introducing them to finger foods is an important aspect of them growing up, also it is loaded with vita; nutrients so all of us should include it in our diet.

    Green peas is a good source of protein and fiber. This is the best food for your little toddler to hold in hand and chomp with his few tiny teeth. Serve the peas poriyal to your little one as finger food or a healthy snack.

    Ingredients to make Peas Poriyal:

    1 cup green peas, 1 teaspoon oil, a pinch of hing, required amount of water, salt to taste

    Steps to make Peas Poriyal:

    1. Wash the green peas thoroughly. If you are using frozen peas, make sure that it is completely thawed.

    2. In a pressure cooker, add one cup of peas and a cup of water. Add a pinch of salt.

    3. Pressure cook for 2 whistles, turn off the heat and release the pressure immediately.

    4. Remove the boiled peas and set aside.

    5. In a pan, add a teaspoon of oil and a pinch of hing.

    6. Add the peas and stir well for a few minutes. Check for salt and add more if needed.

    Yummy green Peas Poriyal is ready. You can give it either as a snack or along with rice for lunch. It makes a good wholesome and a healthy meal.
