Coconut is rich in fibre, vitamin, and minerals. Along with milk, which is rich in protein and calcium and sugar, a good source of carbohydrates, you can prepare a yummy dessert called Nariyal Ki Barfi. You can flavour the sweet with cardamom powder and ghee.

Ingredients to make Nariyal Ki Barfi:
1 cup grated coconut, 1 cup milk solids (powder), ¾ cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp ghee, ¼ tsp cardamom powder
1. In a pan, add ½ tsp ghee and add the grated coconut. Saute on medium flame till it turns light brown. Keep it aside.
2. In the same pan, add milk solids and keep stirring till the ghee in the solids starts to melt.
3. Add the powdered sugar and incorporate well for 2-3 mins.
4. Add the grated coconut and mix well.
5. Grease a plate with the remaining ghee and transfer the coconut mixture, spreading it evenly.
6. Allow the mixture to cool for about 20 mins.
7. Make criss cross cuts (diamond shape) and gently take out each nariyal ki barfi.
Enjoy this delicious sweet either after meal or as an evening snack!
