    Ingredients to make Mochar Chop:

    1 mocha/banana flower, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp semolina, 1 tbsp ghee, ½ cup breadcrumbs, 2 potatoes boiled and mashed, 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, ½ cup grated coconut, 1/4 cup raisins, salt to taste, oil for frying, 2 bay leaves, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder

    Steps to make Mochar Chop:

    1. Clean the banana flower. Remove stamens inside flowers. Pressure cook with turmeric and cinnamon. Drain and keep aside.

    2. Heat oil. Fry bay leaves, cumin seeds, banana flowers and mashed potatoes. Add salt and mix well.

    3. Add turmeric powder and cumin powder and cook for 2 minutes. Add peanuts, raisins, coconut and ghee. Mix to form a smooth dough-like consistency.

    4. Mix flour, semolina, and a little oil to make a thick batter.

    5. Make small flat balls from the potato dough. Dip in the batter, roll in breadcrumbs and deep fry till golden. Serve hot.
