That is why our diet should contain enough proteins. Milk is an important source of proteins since each glass contains almost 8 grams. Milkmaid is sweetened condensed milk, which comes with the goodness of milk. Milkmaid Candies is a mouth-watering candy recipe which even can't resist eating. It is a healthy homemade candy, which you should definitely prepare.

    Ingredients to make Milkmaid Candies:

    Milkmaid-½ cup, cream-1 cup, rose water-2 tsb, saffron strands- few, cardamom-few, ghee-1/4 cup, pistachios-few and Almonds-few.

    Steps to make Milkmaid Candies:

    1. Preheat oven to 425° F. Line 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan with heavy-duty foil.

    2. Melt 1/4 cup (½ stick) ghee in medium saucepan. Pour into prepared jelly-roll pan.

    3. Add rose water, cardamom powder and cream. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in sweetened condensed milk.

    4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and slightly darkened. Remove from oven; cool for 1 minute.

    5. Sprinkle almonds, pistachios, and saffron strands; press into candy. Cool in pan on wire rack for 30 minutes.

    Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until the candy is set. Remove the foil; cut into pieces.
