This sumptuous rice preparation is easy to make. It contains spinach, which is an ideal super green vegetable for health and it is one of the best sources of essential minerals for growth and development. Spinach contains a high amount of calcium and magnesium, both of which are essential for bone development. It contains high amounts of iron and potassium as well. Iron is useful for hemoglobin production and potassium is essential for brain development. Spinach also contains vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, folate, niacin, vitamin E and vitamin K. Each of these vitamins plays an important role in improving body functions.

    Ingredients to make Hariyali Patta Pulao (1 serving):

    Rice -30gms, spinach -50gms, onions -50gms, chillies- 1 -2, bay leaves, ginger garlic paste, cloves, oil -5-10 ml

    Steps to make Hariyali Patta Pulao:

    1. Take a clean pressure cooker ad some oil add bay leaf, clove, onions and saute the onions until soft and golden brown.

    2. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until done.

    3. Puree the spinach and some chilies in a blender.

    4. Add this puree and cook it well until the oil leaves the sides of the pan.

    5. Add washed and soaked rice to the pressure cooker.

    6. Close the lid of the cooker and cook until done.

    The yummy recipe is ready to devour.
