Broken wheat or Dalia is high in protein, fibre, and iron. Along with milk, which is a good source of calcium and jaggery, which has valuable carbohydrates, you can prepare a yummy, sweet Dlia. Flavour this sweet with dry fruits and cardamom powder and it tastes yummier.

Contents
1 cup broken wheat, 4 tbsp suji, 2 cups milk, ½ cup jaggery, ¼ tsp cardamom powder, 1 tbsp crushed dry fruits, 1 tbsp water, 2 tbsp ghee, 1 cup water
1. In a kadai, add ghee. Once warm, add the broken wheat and saute for 1 minute.
2. Add the suji and mix well till it emits a good aroma.
3. Add water and stir well. Cover and cook till the water is fully absorbed.
4. Meanwhile, in another pan add little water and melt the jaggery. Filter and keep the jaggery syrup aside.
5. Once the water is fully absorbed, add the milk, mix, cover and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
6. Add the jaggery syrup and mix well. Add the crushed dry fruits and cardamom powder. Give a good mix.
