Corn wada is a yummy and healthy snack. Corn has fibre, protein, and vitamin C. Channa Dal is the base ingredient used here to which herbs like mint, coriander and curry leaves are added, making the vada batter more flavourful and rich in vital vitamin and minerals.

1 cup channa dal, ¼ cup boiled corn kernels, 1 tsp ginger paste, 3-4 sprigs of mint and coriander leaves, 3-4 curry leaves, salt as required, 1 tbsp besan, oil for frying
1. Wash and soak the channa dal for 2 hours. Drain the water and grind the channa dal into a coarse paste.
2. In a bowl, remove the channa dal paste. Add boiled corn kernels, ginger paste, finely chopped mint, coriander and curry leaves, salt and besan. Give a good mix.
3. In a kadai, pour oil. Take a small portion of the corn channa dal mixture and give it a ball sized shape.
4. Fry them in warm oil and cook till crisp and golden brown.
Delicious and mouthwatering Corn Vadas are ready. Serve warm with ketchup.
