Colourful Parathas

Colourful Parathas can be made using colourful veggies, flavoured with salt and ghee. Wheat flour provides the necessary carbohydrates while veggies give the required vitamin and minerals. Topping with a teaspoon of ghee on top of the paratha takes care of the fat nutrients and you will totally love it.

Ingredients to make Colourful Parathas:
1 cup wheat flour, 1 carrot, 1 potato, ¼ cauliflower, 3-5 spinach leaves, 3-4 beans, ¼ cup green peas, 2 tsp ghee, 1 tsp oil, water required to knead the dough, salt as required
Steps to make Colourful Parathas:
1. In a pressure pan, add oil. Add the roughly chopped veggies and saute for 2 minutes.
2. Add salt and mix well. Add half cup water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
3. Once the steam cools down, mash all the veggies and allow this mixture to cool.
4. Knead the wheat flour with one tsp ghee, salt and water. Make a semi soft dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
5. Make balls of the mashed veggies and also balls of the dough.
6. Roll one-one ball of dough in the size of a poori. Stuff the veggie mixture and seal the stuffing with the edges of the dough rolled. Roll into a paratha and keep on a hot tawa.
7. Cook on both sides and drizzle a tsp of ghee on top.
Delicious, hot and nutritious colourful parathas are ready to relish. Enjoy with curd, jam or have it just like that.
