Butter Cookies

Cookies are considered to be a very high protein snack and the best part is that they are very tasty. There are no artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or colours. Butter cookies come with the goodness of butter that not only provides energy but also boosts our immunity. It is a very quick and simple snack with a great taste.

Ingredients to make Butter Cookies:

Whole wheat-1 cup, butter-1/4 cup, cinnamon-1/4 tsb, sugar-½ cup, baking powder-1 tsp and formula milk-1/4 cup

Steps to make Butter Cookies:

1. Whisk together wheat flour, cinnamon powder and baking powder in a small bowl.

2. Beat the butter and sugar together in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes in a standing mixer. Beat in the formula milk. Reduce speed to low, then add flour mixture and mix until just combined.

3. Form dough into a 12-inch log (2 inches in diameter) on a sheet of plastic wrap and roll up dough in plastic wrap. Chill dough on a baking sheet until firm, at least for four hours.

4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Press dough out on to ungreased, chilled cookie sheets.

5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden at the edges.

Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. Serve fresh.
