Bottle gourd is known for its awesome taste and medical advantages. It acts as a coolant, helps in improving heart health, clears dandruff, cures UTI, helps in acidity, and many more. Bottle gourd halwa is a nutritious blend of bottle gourd and milk with almonds and other side ingredients. It tastes absolutely divine and made with ease. This mouth watering and aromatic sweet dish has the ability to attract anyone who came across it.

Ingredients to make Bottle Gourd Halwa:
Milk-4 cups, sugar-1 cup, cardamom powder-½ tsp, saffron strands-few, water-1 cup, almonds-few, and bottle gourd-1 small
Steps to make Bottle Gourd Halwa:
1. Squeeze the water from shredded bottle gourd. Keep aside.
2. Boil the 1 cup water and 3 cups milk on medium high heat in heavy bottom pan. After milk comes to boil lower the heat to medium low and boil for ten minutes. Set aside.
3. Melt the ghee in frying pan on medium heat add bottle gourd and sauté for 3 minutes, or until it is tender but not mushy.
4. Add milk mix well and bring it to boil, reduce heat to low and cook until mixture becomes thick. Stir occasionally in between to prevent sticking.
5. Add sugar, cardamom, and almonds. Stir continuously and cook foe 5 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Delicious Bottle Gourd Halwa is ready. Transfer it to serving bowl and garnish with saffron strands, and serve hot or at room temperature.
