Your kid is always amazed at how anything that moves up comes down in a jiffy. This activity will let your child understand the concept of gravity and how easily everything that is thrown upwards comes down. It will teach him patience, hand and eye coordination. This activity also helps in analytical and reasonable thinking of your child.
Requisites: 2 Deck of playing cards, ceiling or table fan
Steps:
1. Take a deck of cards
2. Jumble all the cards
3. Now start the process of arranging the cards firstly, in a vertical zig zag manner and then put a layer of horizontal cards onto it.
4. Build the next step with another vertical arrangement followed by the horizontal row of cards.
5. Repeat the process till you reach a point where you are left with one card at the top, just like a pyramid.
6. Now to teach your kid gravity, turn on the fan at a low speed and let him observe what happens next.
7. He will understand that whatever goes up has to come down due to gravity.
While playing with balls and toys, if he throws it in an upward direction, the same will come down and you may educate him of heights and how he should be careful with stairs and standing at heights near corners. He will learn why people fall down when they jump from a height.
